In Highschool I took one of those aptitude tests which was supposed to determine what my occupation and career should be. I was devastated when I was told that I should go into farming! Little did I know that over 35 years later, I would return to dive into the dirt of my own provocation! my own passion!
My grandfathers were farmers and ranchers - I had always had great fun visitng them, however, I saw what hard work and hard life that was, and I wasn't up for it. Oddly, I have that work-aholic nature about me. I can still hear my mother saying "Daylights a wasting!" as we all get up at dawn! I never like to be idle and find great comfort in tending my garden and preparing fresh foods.
You can take the girl off the farm - but the dirt goes deep!
